New miniature sheep breeding
Our son John has recently imported a Southdown Babydoll Ram from Australia, it landed in March and he plans to cross the ram with specially chosen ewes to eventually produce miniature sheep for the vineyard!
In our quest to get the tractor off the vineyard, we will soon start the process of fencing around some of the vines to trial the miniature sheep.
Babydolls are very, cute and grow between 45 - 60cm, approximately 10cm shorter than standard sheep. They are known for their teddy bear look and permanent smile.
