New Zealand’s Natural Wine Industry is developing at a good pace, however we think more wineries should be switching to Natural winemaking.
Natural Wine is free from chemicals and pesticides and has often lower levels of sulfites (sulfites are known to cause headaches).

New Zealand’s Wines have always been and will continue to be popular the world over.  However, we feel there is a real opportunity to position ourselves on the leading edge of the Worldwide Natural Wave that is catching us all.

The two main reasons wineries avoid going organic is the increased cost of production and the increased risk of a lower yield e.g. grapes destroyed by rot which could have been prevented by a chemical spray.

Turanga Creek has recently become BioGro certified organic and is working towards Biodynamic certification.

We do hope many other wineries in New Zealand will follow the same path as us.
