Why our fans prefer organic wine?
We asked our Facebook fans why they prefer organic wine. We received some great responses, some of which we’ve included below.
Many commented that they get allergies and headaches from traditional wine. To gauge the extent of these two complaints we looked at the number of web pages that deal with these topics, and the number of searches in Google.
Here are the findings:
Given the number of web pages worldwide it appears these feelings are widespread. Although the number of New Zealanders searching for information is low, and it would appear that more are concerned with allergies than headaches.
We’ve read recently that by adding an additive to a glass of wine you can reduce the effect of headaches. Personally I don’t fancy the strange looks I’d receive if I were seen adding something to my wine. I prefer the alternative: organic wine!

- ‘Why would I drink an Organic wine....why would I not, the taste is far better & it's free of chemicals & pesticides....I can savour the flavour, with every sip enhancing my senses!’
- ‘Sulfites in wine give me a bad headache!’
- ‘Because it has a natural enjoyable taste, it won’t make me feel hung-over the next day and it goes great with an organic meal :)’
- ‘Orgasmic, ooops I mean ORGANIC, says it all :)'
